Bassenthwaite - High Side - Longside Edge - Skiddaw - Bakestall - Cockup - Peter House Farm - Bassenthwaite. Showery - the waterproofs worked really well. As soon as they were put on it stopped raining. There were odd showers, and there was zero visibility on Skiddaw. It cleared when we got down. George B and Ron. |

A good, challenging walk. Lots of people - one group of twenty five. Nice views, but not a camera between us. Hard slog uphill. Good views of Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater. Had a good view of Skiddaw when we got down. Wildlife: One robin, and three dead sheep (one strangulated). |
