Comments |
There was good visibility, and we could see as far as the high rise flats in Gateshead. At some dog kennels, we were chased by a Rhodesian ridgeback, which Sandy told to go away. Ruby caught a pheasant for the first time. There were lots of bell-ringing cyclists on Waskerley Way. We found a sheltered lunch spot behind a wall, and we took a tea stop by the reservoir. Waskerley Church was closed. Waskerley Station Farm had a blue and yellow flower on the gate and two old Fordson tractors in the yard. Wildlife etc: Very tame and furtive goldcrest, wagtail, oystercatcher, red grouse, pheasants, lapwings harassing a red kite, robin, curlew, blackbird, sparrows, two noisy geese, meadow pipits. Newly born lambs, horses, pony and donkeys, two deer. Lots of daffodils and primroses. Gorse on the railway line. |
