Treacherous underfoot - ice rink car park. Nice lunch spot - sheltered and sunny. Lovely wintery views. Saw a window in a drystone dyke - the middle section had collapsed leaving a bridge of topstones. Spied deer tracks in the snow. Came across one green field surrounded by lots of snowy fields. Did not meet anyone walking but saw the postman several times and a large tractor twice. Met Evelyn at the coffee shop at Kirkharle - served by a Pole. Did not buy any expensive furniture. Wildlife: Single magpie, lots of rams, pink hedgehog, two pheasants, chaffinch, robin. |
Border Minstrel (another ice rink car park!). Joined by Carol, Bernie and Beth. Bijou Christmas puddings. Ashley's comment: "It's a sign of age when you have another Brussels sprout instead of more chips". |
